A funeral service for Phil will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, Januat St. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Fred and Robert, three sisters Hazel Marti, Grace Luedtke and Maxine (Carl) Diem, two nephews Charlie Diem and Michael Marti. Phil is survived by his loving wife Nancy, seven children Robert (Jane), Joni Lee Morris, Janie Ann Morris, Julie Mae Morris, Philip Robert (Kelly), Jeffry William (Jill) and Alan Howard (Sally) Morris, 11 grandchildren Jennifer, Anthony, Matthew, Tyler, Blaise, Amanda, Elliot, Ashley, Tanya, Jesse, Danielle, and two stepchildren ( Brita, Zach Lampinen) He is further survived by four great-grandchildren Jacque, David, Aaliyah and Izaiah, three sisters Betty Wollenberg, Dorothy (David) Kaufman and Marie Sautter, a brother Bill, and a sister-in-law Jean Morris. He was a proud union worker for 50 years. Phil was also a very proud Union Laborer worker for local #330, Appleton. He took such pride watching six of his children play in Little League in Big Falls. Phil fashioned a baseball diamond on the farm for both his and the neighbor children. He took pride in watching his grandchildren in all their sporting events in Tigerton and Antigo. Phil loved teaching his children and grandchildren to “hit that potato” and play the game. He was an avid lover of baseball and was known around the area in his younger days for his home runs and pitching. On JPhil and Nancy were united in marriage and would have shared almost 52 years together. Upon his return from active duty in 1959, he met Nancy Curtis. In 1955, Phil left Tigerton High School to serve his country in the US Navy.

He loved fishing and hunting in his younger years with his dog Butler. In the 1940’s Phil and his family moved to Split Rock. Born on Januin Cook County, IL, he was the ninth child of Frederick and Mary (Christensen) Morris.

Philip “Phil” Charles Morris, age 74 of Big Falls, passed on to our Lord on Janufrom lung cancer.
