You'd think a game with so much voiced content / drawn CG stills / animated cutscenes would have one.

#STELLA GLOW KEITH MOVIE#
Only other big con I have with this game aside the lack of choices for NG (more free time slots is cool and all but lack of carrying over data sucks hard) is definitely the absence of a CG / Movie / Cutscene / Ending Gallery. I had this big goofy grin on my face when Hikari no Metamorphosis (the OP theme song for the game, as cliche as it is) started playing against the true final boss (Cartesia) and how that song in itself turned out to be the real Celestial Hymn. The themes that play during the Angel raids, Port Noir stages, Amatsu stages and some of the final tracks in the endgame chapter are a few examples. I just generally love the soundtrack in this game, even the non-vocal tracks. May go for either Sakuya or Mordimort's endings next playthrough but I'm def gonna try to max out everybody's affections now the allocated free time slots have been multiplied three fold for NG. She's also a great asset in battle with powerful map attacks and instant-turn grant skills. I love her and oh my « Harvest Goddess » her ending was too sweet I dunno, the cool bad girl / atoning types are some of my favorites. In the end, I picked Hilda for my 1st playthrough's ending.

Favorite heroines wise.I only maxed out Popo and Hilda's by the end of my first playthrough (just started NG+). Favorite witch songs are all of Popo's, Hilda's 1st song (Ice World), Lisette's 1st song (Densetsu no Umie), Sakuya's 1st song (Aizakura) and Marie / Eve's Lunar Song during the endgame fights. Especially during that one Yggdrasil Stage with the 6 Giselle clone bosses and the angel / monster reinforcements. Sakuya's Terminal Strike (which does 500 HP of damage regardless of the enemy) helped too. Seriously, her Hyperion C map attack skill razes so many enemies in the later maps + did a great deal of damage against the game's final bosses. Giselle is broken as hell and I have zero regrets using all of that Free Time slot for Klaus to get to that true end flag. The overall difficulty only really steps up towards the final maps of the game. one character doesn't take damage, or defeat x enemies in x turns, or do x task in y turns, etc, etc). The real challenges I got from the game was probably doing whichever Special Conditions for each map I could (i.e. Most of them ended up just being the usual ROUTE THE ENEMY stages. Gameplay wise.yeah, the SRPG bits aren't anything overly easy but they aren't anything complicated either i.e. Speaking of Queen would have been nice if her death would've been preventable in the true ending route.she was such a sweet character. Glad they didn't fall for the "C-CORRUPT SCHEMING MINISTER TRAITOR" trope that plagues like 99% of JRPGs and instead made him into a sincere character who was naturally faithful to Queen Anastasia. Regent Elmar turned out to be a « Snuggly Bunny »' bro too.

Characters who didn't seem much to me at first like Rusty, Archibald, Keith, Ewan and Nonoka are those I ended up liking more than I thought. I liked that all of the rest of the cast aside the witches actually had a lot of fleshing out / development and didn't just feel like sidekicks to make the MC look better in comparison like in a lot of harem-esque RPG games these days.
#STELLA GLOW KEITH HOW TO#
It knows how to stay serious during moments it's being serious and it knows how to stay silly and fun during the unwinding / fully free time filled chapters (Chapters 4 and 7). The game's story has good consistency and rhythm to it. There were some surprisingly dark turns in regard to that too like Franz being killed off screen during the angel invasion in chapter 8 leaving Rena orphaned and forcing her to run her family shop by herself _. Even the minor NPCs (Bianca of the armory, Kayaj of the pub, Franz and Rena of the Orb Atelier) helped make the game's world feel a little bit alive. Unlike Conception II where I couldn't take the story seriously at all no matter how hard it tried too, I felt myself pretty invested in Stella Glow's story. Few wacky fanservice elements aside, the game's story takes a supremely dark turn as soon as chapter 5 starts (which deals with Mordi's arc / Rusty's past surrounding the Kashmistan genocide) and especially after chapter 8 where « Cow Poopoo » really goes down. It isn't anything groundbreaking / exceptional but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I loved the story/characters all the way through.
